We are couple from Czech republic, who decided to get some experiences from different part of the world just after the university. We lived in Iceland and New Zealand, we visited many other countries until the covid pandemic stopped us right in the Canadian Rockies. Even if the beginning wasn’t easy at all, we fell in love with these mountains.
And we are having best times in the mountains. We love to take pictures and videos, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, skiing, camping, travelling, exploring,…
Mike had an amazing opportunity to spend summer internship in one of the fastest growing Icelandic travel agency (now know as adventures.com). During these months he become part of the marketing department, but because of his passion for photography, he didn’t spent much time in the office. He was responsible for fresh photos and videos from all their tours.
Betka found a job as a housekeeper in Iceland too, so they both could explore this country together.
They both came back to Iceland later to work in tomato farm. In total they spend in Iceland more than one year.
15 months of unforgettable time in New Zealand changed their lives. They bought a mini bus with 11 seats and transformed to a cozy camper van, which became their new home. They travelled North, South and also Steward Island, worked different jobs in different places.
10 days after our arrival, Canada closed the borders until further notice. Covid was here and we stuck. But in the end, we manage it quite well. We became Permanent Residents and now it’s the time to share all beautiful places with you! Our interactive map will be your Guide to Rockies.
