Michal Hubert, originally from the Czech Republic, discovered his passion for photography during a trip to Romania in 2010. While studying, he spent time in Iceland interning at a travel agency, where he was responsible for photography and videography. He also gained experience as a tour guide in Norway.
After completing his university studies in Brno, Michal moved to New Zealand with his partner Alzbeta. Together, they traveled extensively until their journey was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, shortly after their arrival in Canada.
Today, they live in Canmore, Alberta, where they work in the hospitality industry and enjoy the stunning beauty of the Rocky Mountains. In 2025 their son Felix joined the team.
In 2024, Michal launched project ‘Guide To Rockies’ with the goal of simplifying trip planning and travel throughout the Canadian Rockies, while also showcasing his photography and videography to a wider audience. A mobile map guide app is currently in development … and that’s just the beginning.
